BO BO house
Residential
about the project
The house, with a polygonal floor plan and combination of cubic volumes, is partially embedded in the terrain.
The cantilevered projections of the structural slabs emphasize the horizontal nature of the building, creating a pleasant transition between enclosed and open spaces, while also providing additional shading for the southwest-oriented areas. The living area is additionally oriented towards the atrium garden to the northeast, which contributes to its illumination with softer, diffused light.
With its positioning, emphasized horizontality, and low height, the house adapts to the natural configuration of the terrain, requiring minimal intervention in the existing terrain. The intention is to merge the internal and external spaces as much as possible, allowing the external areas, which are segmented into a series of terraces, to become an integral part of the house and its functions.
The pool is an additional design accent in the formation and organization of the surroundings of the building. Besides its recreational function, the pool that is integrated into the natural landscape, enhances the quality of visual communication of the living space.
